Obergurgl is one of the highest church towns in the whole of Austria. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful holiday and let the stunning mountain panorama take its effect. In winter and summer, Obergurgl is especially popular among skiers and hikers.
As Obergurgl is situated at an altitude of around 1,900m, and offers direct access to the Alps, you will find a true skiing paradise here. Advanced skiers can put themselves to the test on the glaciers, while beginners are sure to find the right slopes for them in this skiing area.
With its proximity to South Tyrol, the Wurmkogelbahn and the Zirbenwald natural reserve, Obergurgl offers plenty of opportunities for exploring the area on foot. You will always be rewarded with a stunning view over the majestic mountain world of Obergurgl.
